How to write APA in-text citations
APA in-text citations use author-date parenthetical or narrative forms, with locators for quotations.
(Author, Year, p. X) or Author (Year, p. X)
One author: (Sharma, 2020) or Sharma (2020). Two authors: (Sharma & Cole, 2020) or Sharma and Cole (2020). Three or more: (Sharma et al., 2020) or Sharma et al. (2020).
Group authors: spell out the full name in the first citation unless an abbreviation is introduced — (American Psychological Association [APA], 2020) then (APA, 2020) later when appropriate.
Place parenthetical citations before the sentence period. For narrative citations, keep the year with the author name even when a page locator appears later in the sentence.

- Multiple sources in one parenthesis: alphabetical order, semicolons between works.
